At the Healthcare Hub, we offer two different services. Each has its own purpose. One is free healthcare guidance for WUR students. The other is professional sexual health care for everyone. On this page, we explain the difference clearly so you know where to go with your question.
Free walk in consultations for WUR students
The walk in consultation is there to help WUR students understand and navigate the Dutch healthcare system. Many students have questions about insurance, GPs, referrals or what to do when they get sick. We provide clear information and guidance, not medical care.
You can visit us without an appointment during walk in hours. This service is free of charge for WUR students.
What this service offers:
- Explanation of the Dutch healthcare system;
- Guidance on where to go with health questions;
- Help with finding the right care provider;
- Support for both physical and mental health questions.
What this service does not offer:
- No medical diagnosis;
- No medical treatment;
- No testing.
This service focuses on information, clarity and referral.
Sexual Health Clinic for confidential testing and care
The Sexual Health Clinic focuses fully on sexual health. Here you can get STI testing, HIV testing and personal medical advice from experienced nurses or physicians. This service is open to everyone, not only students.
An appointment is required. This service is not free of charge. Costs depend on the type of test and consultation.
What this service offers:
- Confidential STI and HIV testing;
- Personal medical consultations;
- Guidance if a test result is positive;
- Professional and discreet care.
What this service does not offer:
- It is not a general health information desk;
- It does not replace your GP for other medical problems.
This service focuses on fast access, reliability and privacy.
