Hi! My name is Judith and I work as a nurse at Healthcare Hub.

I’ve been working in healthcare since 1999. As a nurse, I’ve had a wide variety of work experiences. I’ve worked as a nurse in a hospital, in the community, and in care for clients with intellectual and physical disabilities.

Since 2018, I’ve been working as a travel nurse at vaccinatiecentrum.nl, and more recently I’ve added consultations for healthcarehub.nl.

You might meet me during the free (walk-in) consultation hours for students who have questions about the Dutch healthcare system, or during an appointment at the STI clinic.

I really enjoy working in the international atmosphere of Wageningen — the mix of people, cultures, and stories makes every day unique.

My strength lies in helping people feel comfortable and at ease, so they can freely ask questions or share their concerns. I like to take the time to listen to figure out together what you truly need.

Hi! My name is Yvon and I work as a nurse at Healthcare Hub.

I started my nursing career in 1984 and quickly discovered that I enjoy teaching just as much as caring for patients. After spending three inspiring years in Zambia teaching nursing, I returned to the Netherlands to work as a clinical instructor and teacher. Later on, I specialized in travel health and STI care.

You might meet me during the free walk-in consultation hours for students with questions about the Dutch healthcare system, or during an appointment at the STI clinic.

Curiosity, compassion, and a strong belief in the power of knowledge have guided me throughout my career.

So if you’ve got questions, whether it is about healthcare or STIs, I’m here. Let’s figure it out together.

Pieter(-Paul) van Thiel works as the lead physician at Healthcare Hub and vaccinatiecentrum.nl, and as an internist at some other institutions.

He worked for five years as a tropical doctor in Malawi. After that, he trained as an internist and infectious-disease specialist at the Academic Medical Center (AMC) in Amsterdam. He then became a staff member in the Department of Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine at the AMC, and also served as a tropical diseases consultant for the Ministry of Defence. He currently holds a honorary position at the AMC, including roles as consultant for the Center of Tropical and Travel Medicine, mentor to medical students, and member of the medical examination board (Faculty of Medicine, University of Amsterdam). He teaches in various courses of tropical medicine and travel medicine in the Netherlands. In addition, he is chair of the Quality Council of the LCR (National Coordination Centre for Traveller’s Health Advice), a member of the council for the training of tropical doctors and of the Expert Committee on Military Immunizations.

A few weeks each year, he returns to Malawi to work as a supervising internist and lecturer at the University of Malawi’s teaching hospital in Blantyre. He obtained his PhD in the field of leishmaniasis.
